The above is a list of the kinds of horses I have worked with in the past, however, I treat every horse the same: differently. At the end of the day, a horse is a horse, is a horse. Some of them have different mannerisms. Some have different energy levels. All have different pasts. It's up to me and you (the owner) to learn what makes each horse tick, and how to work WITH that.
I ride western and use my own gear. I only use a single joint snaffle-bit bridle, often with a mecate rein setup. I use my personal wade-tree saddle on most horses unless it does not fit properly. I have yet to find a horse that, with the proper padding, it does not fit. I opt for rope halters over nylon. I ride with a back-cinch and a breast collar on all horses.
If you use, or plan to use more or different gear than this, please inform me and bring it with your horse when you drop them off so they can be introduced to it in training.
My very minimum requirement is 60 days. I usually suggest 90 days. At the end of the day, every horse is different. They have different learning capabilities, speeds, and styles--much like humans! I go at each horse's pace. It might take one horse three times as long to learn a certain concept.
If you have a time or budget constraint, I can work with it--I cannot, however, guarantee desired results from restricted time.
Every horse gets 20hrs of work per month
